Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs has congratulated the distinguished Senator Andrew Igbonule Uchendu on his swearing in as the Senator representing the good people of Rivers East Senatorial District. The APC chieftain while congratulating the people's Senator, also prayed for God to strengthen him and imbue him with the wisdom to legislate for the good of all.
It was a day of solidarity and deep expression of love as Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs travelled all the way to the peace loving and agrarian town of Okwale in Khana LGA of Rivers State in the company of his associates to fraternize with the bereaved Nke-ee family.
Speaking with pressmen at the occasion, Chief Lulu-Briggs described the funeral event as one that arouses mixed feelings of sadness and joy.
He said: “As a man who clocked 96 years of age in a world of so much uncertainty, I have no doubt in me that Chief Anson Nke-ee lived a good life. However, his departure to eternity has created a vacuum that will always be felt by his entire family; so, he will always be missed, and it is on this note that we decided to come and comfort our brother, Hon. Friday Nubari Nke-ee and his family.”
He thanked the people of Okwale for the wonderful reception accorded him and his entourage to the event, and prayed for God to turn the family’s grief to joy, and bless them abundantly.
On arriving Port Harcourt from Ogoni, Chief Lulu-Briggs also took time to celebrate with the family of Sokonte Davies on the occasion of their daughter's marital journey. At the wedding reception of Mr Obinna Kanu and Lady Odima-a Winston Dagogo, Chief Lulu Briggs expressed his delight over the successful nuptial ceremony and shared in the joy of the family. Once more, he wished the newly wedded a marital union full of God's blessings.
This never stops and it gets irritating at times but it is inevitable so we have to learn to live with it.
Following Michy’s wardrobe malfunctioning, as many choose to call it, there has been comparisons, with critics saying that the 23 year-old mother of one ought to have better boobs than what she has now.
A photo of Sarkodie’s babymama, Tracy started making rounds and apparently her side boobs suggested that the 26-year-old may have a firmer boobs than Shatta Michy. Her b00bs will instantly turn you on.
Every woman ought to emulate her and keep her perfectly fine boobs even after giving birth.
Born in a village called Agona, Wiamoase in the Ashanti Region in Ghana, Despite began life as a petty trader selling all sorts of merchandise including; music cassettes, padlocks, feeding bottles, and other merchandise at Dunkwa Offinso. His family background never stopped him from doing something for himself.
For many young entrepreneurs who may identify with him, this must be a wake-up call- your success must not be limited by your place of birth. It is a blessing to have wealthy parents but the unavailability of such parents should not become a deterrent in your own pursuits to build an enterprise. In his own words during a rare recent interview, Despite said, “though I had dreams, I never knew, I will get this far but God has made all things possible.”
KWAME DESPITE WENT BANKRUPT IN 1983
Only the strong-minded few are able to turn their lives around after a major setback such as losing all their investment, and Osei Kwame is amongst them. In 1983, the Nigerian government deported millions of Ghanaians living then in Nigeria, Kwame Despite who was also then living in Nigeria was forced to return to the country and he returned with only, a chain-saw machine and a trident cassette player to start all over.
despite’s Rolls Royce Wraith
This must inform all young entrepreneurs today that temporary failure or set back in life should never be misconstrued to be the end of life. From a trident cassette player and a chain saw machine, Despite Group of companies now owns Peace FM, Neat FM, Okay FM, Best Point Savings & Loans, Neat Fufu, Neat Banku, and Special Ice. This must inspire everybody today that with the right planning, investments, persistence, dedication and the belief of a Higher Power above, everything is possible under the sun.
A HUMBLE SOLDIER
For anyone to achieve this feat of success, it will be quite easy for a bit of arrogance and superiority complex to creep in but not Osei Kwame. In his recent interview he granted Kwame Sefa Kai , Despite attributed his success to the efforts of his dedicated untiring staff and Almighty God. He said to the host, “ Let me laud the efforts of all my untiring workers for their commitment and dedication towards making the Despite Group of Companies a success.”
Despite, later advised the youth to persevere, work hard and never give up. The life experience of Osei Kwame should be a guiding principle for many today; that success is a journey and until the journey is completed, one should never give up in life.
Ghanaian eye-catching actress, Ellen White is among the likes of Lydia Forson, Yvonne Nelson, Nana Ama McBrown, Yvonne Okoro among others who doubles as actress and producers.
An exclusive interview with Ghanaian actress Ellen White concerning the rate at which some actress have sex with producers and directors for roles in our music industry, she said ‘’ladies who do that are cheap.
Speaking on sex scandal ladies go through, she said, ‘’people assess you the way you carry yourself. Nobody has proposed to me yet in the music industry and I don’t think anybody can all because of how I relate with them. Not to say I am the bossy type but I see everyone as a friend. Though when we meet on set is likely for the men to propose but everything depends on the lady whether to accept or reject. It’s an individual decision. Ladies who do that does that because it’s their character and not an act all ladies go through in the movie industry. If the person has that character, automatically she will take it everywhere she goes that doesn’t mean we are all like that. We don’t do that. I haven’t encountered any of these scandals.
‘’Ladies who open their legs for movie roles are cheap. They should stop because it is tarnishing their image. Stars don’t struggle to shine so if you struggle to become a star, definitely you will fall. It won’t help them in anyway’’ she told flex newspaper.
When asked about her toughest time in the industry, she said ’’So far I haven’t gone through tough times yet but I think the backbiting in the industry is too much. Normally they say am not friendly but that is not who I am, when you get close to me you will know the kind of person I am. Ellen White is the reserve type and not an extrovert. I open up to everyone who comes to me’’.
She added, ‘’I have never done anything in the movie industry that I have regretted and I will never go through such things especially giving myself out to the producers and directors for a role’’.
Ellen White premiered her fifth produced movie, ‘The List’ at the West Hills Mall last week Friday, 5th May.
When asked how much she spent on production, she said ‘’I paid all the actors and actresses who played a role in the movie. I really spent much on this movie but I can’t disclose the amount used’’.
My production has been there for five years now. I have produced four movies so far and the new one is my fifth movie. I have produced: Meyefo, revelation, fault, medofo pa and now.

Highlife maestro Ofori Amponsah recently released a video for his single, ‘17’, which features George Kwabena Adu also known as Kwabena Kwabena.
As at press time, the ’17’ music video had enjoyed over 66,000 views on Youtube after it was published on the free sharing video platform on April 21 this year. Most musicians keep mute whenever they are asked for budget about their works but Ofori decided to let the world know the cash he pushed into the video shoot.
Speaking on Atinka TV Saturday morning, Mr. All 4 Real disclosed the ’17’ music video shot by Kenn Ayiah cost a whopping sum of Gh30, 000. He added that even though many have given good review about the song and its video, he has little problem with the visuals and that has to do with the colours. According to him, he would not have complained if this video was shot years ago because technology was not advanced then but to produce this results this era, it’s unpardonable.
He told Sammy Flex, host of the entertainment show that the concept for the video was planned by the director and his management, which included him, but the fair lady was recommended by Kenn Ayiah, the director.

Mostly when it comes to issues of musicians’ royalties, the least is heard from Dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. popularly known as Shatta Wale but the award winning musician has raised a red flag over his royalties from Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).
Shatta Wale in a Facebook post, Wednesday, threatened to go out of control if GHAMRO royalties due him are not paid to him.
GHAMRO are you ready to pay my royalties or you want me to go haywire!!.”
The founder of Shatta Movement (SM) has released countless hit songs which still enjoy airplay.
Prior to that the PRO of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation, (GHAMRO) Prince Tsegah last month (April) told Kasapafmonline.com that the Rex Omar led GHAMRO administration has so far distributed an amount of GhC1,746,000 as outstanding royalties to about 80 per cent of right owners.
According to Prince Tsegah, an amount of GHC411,640 which forms part of royalties collected from last year was added to the statutory distribution of GhC1,334,400 thus raising the current distribution amount for the December 2016 royalties to GhC1,746,000, an increase of 20 per cent.
Socrate Safo who is a ‘shadow’ member of Shatta Wale’s management team, sometime ago indicated that he is helping him to register his songs with the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO).
