"60 years on'' by Mawuena dian Adjei (legon lvl 300)

Mawuena writes....

Pandemonium, hush!! the roar is all we heard. Crushing, and clashing, the fear is all that we have known. To survive and never give up, that is all we have been taught.

Then it became a dream, a dream of a million yet reality to one individual who harbored tears of blackness. The darker it became, the tougher it was, but the black man was willing to sell his birthright as the seventh born after the  Egyptians and the Indians, the Greeks and the Romans, the Teutons and the Mongolians, ready to uncover and depart from a world which yields him no self consciousness, but only lets him see himself through the revelation of the other world.

Before long, it became the dying wish of individual activists such as William Edward Burghart Dubois, Martin Luther King Jr, Patrice Lalumba, and our very own Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

After 60 years of self struggle, the Nkrumaist dream will never die, the big six will remain the biggest six and one nation amist great nations of this black soil will lift the flag higher.
Indeed God bless our homeland Ghana, that as we celebrate another turn of growth, it won't just be in numbers but in terms of productive additions.

We have a story to tell, we have a nation to build, 60 YEARS ON.

Long live Ghana,
Long live Africa,
Long live Pan Africanism

Adjei Mawuena Diana,
My father's daughter.
